Winger Ibrahim Afellay said main target now is to return to Barcelona as borrowed time at Schalke runs out, June 30, 2013.
Barcelona bought Afellay from PSV Eindhoven on January 1, 2011 and on loan to Schalke on August 31, 2012. Over at the Camp Nou, he played 20 times in the Liga BBVA, with 12 of them as a substitute. In 20 appearances, he scored one goal.
At Schalke, until the weekend of the 11th Bundesliga, he has played 10 times, with two of them as a substitute, and created two goals. Afellay said he was satisfied with its performance in Schalke so far. "Go back to Barcelona is my goal. Important that I enjoy football. Feelings are much stronger than before," I Afellay.
One of the things that interfere with the process of adaptation Afellay in Barcelona is a matter of muscle (30 July 2011-3 September 2011) and a cruciate ligament injury (22 September 2011-11 April 2012). "If you are fit, it does not mean you can play. I can say that based on my experience, and therefore I would appreciate (playing time)," he said.
